A teacher and the team leader of The Bridge Outreach Service.
He has worked with pupils and young adults with SEND since 2001, when, as part of his undergraduate course, he worked in a school for teenagers with Autism and SLD (Florence, Italy). After moving to the UK in 2002 and gaining QTS, he first worked in a special school in Hackney and then joined The Bridge School in 2006 as a teacher for pupils with autism, SLD and PMLD. He has been a member of the Outreach team since 2012, supporting Primary and Secondary school staff to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
Daniele has a special interest in supporting pupils with autism and/or SLD in their transitions across Key Stages, school settings and different stages of life.
He is currently part of the Islington Autism Partnership Board and the co-lead of one of its sub-groups, the Autism Workforce Development Group.
